Look at this LiTTle CuTie!

I found this at my local thrift store and I thought it was so cute.

Then I saw this and I was in LoVe.

Of course she needed a little sNaZing up. So I..............

Scraped off these ugly roses.

Painted her a blue-gray color.

Gave her a good scrape down.
I like to use all different kinds of puddy knives to distress my paint.

I smothered all the painted parts with my favorite stain.
The kind I love to use is Minwax Wood Finish Provincial 211.

Then I rubbed off any excess stain.

Make sure you get all the loose parts. Look how cute this little switch is.

Next comes the lamp shade which this little lamp did't come with one. I have been eying this white rosy looking trim for quite some time and thought this would be the perfect project. I found a self-adhesive lamp shade at Hobby Lobby for $7.99. This is usually more then I would spend but I have to say I really like the self-adhesive part and I thought it was well worth the extra $$.

Make sure you read these.

I pulled off the wrapping and found a really sticky surface.

I just wrapped my trim around the shade and it was done.
Make sure you get your trim right where you want it  because the shade is really sticky.

Then I just put the shade on my lamp and it was done.

This was such an easy and fun project.
Did I mention I LovE iT!

ThanKs For the LiNk uP LaDiES!
